Should you wish to order Thangkas via our web site, the following options are open to you:

1. Order a Thangka from our Thangka/Mandala. Unless otherwise indicted, the scroll paintings shown in these sections mainly are available for immediate delivery.
2. Order a Thangka of your own choice to be painted for you. Just please send us a good photo or color copy from a book or other source. You can also send us the picture by e-mail as an enclosure.
3. In the tradition of monks and believers for over 1000 years, order your own personal Thangka motif. For this we require an exact sketch on which the Buddha aspects (dieties) and depictions of the legends of your choice and all other desired elements are depicted as clearly and in as much detail as possible. Such custom-made thangkas, like those created in the tradition of ancient custom demand a great deal of time and effort to complete, resulting in a correspondingly higher price, which can only be determined after consultation with our artist regarding a specific order. This may take quite some time; the delivery periods are also longer than for other Thangkas. In return, however, you have the guarantee that your Tahangka motif is truly unique in all the world. It is your own exclusively personal motif! We ask your indulgence and under-standing regarding the time factor involved in all aspects of such special orders. Furthermore, an exchange or return of these pieces, so matter-of-fact for other Thangkas, is not possible in this case unless serious iconographic flaws or defects are detected in that particular scroll painting.
   
   Orders placed in compliance with options 2 - 3 are painted by one of the most reknowned artists of Nepal with more than 30 years of experience painting Thangkas. Because your Thangkas are painted individually for you, longer waiting periods of 4 - 15 months, in some cases longer, can arise. You can use our e-mailbox below, or one of those to be found in every other section, to place all orders and to transmit personal correspondence or data to us. Your personal data is secure; all e-mails are protected by the internationally recognized xxx coding system and so are safe. The prices for the Thangkas in sections A, B, C and G are given in Euros. The prices in US $ or other currencies can be determined according to the corresponding current daily exchange rate. The official exchange rate on the date the order is placed shall determine the definite purchase price. These prices includes all taxes in Germany but not taxes, customs clearances or other fees in other countries.

Please inquire about prices for Thangkas to be personally painted for you. The price depends on size, variety of depictions and the type of Thangka desired (multicolored, black, red, blue or gold) and for these and other reasons cannot be quoted here.

You have several options for payment of your Thangka:

*1 PayPal, an eBay-enterprise, is the global leader in online-payment service. Using this service you can make your payments conveniently (at no extra PayPal charge) by bank transfer or credit card. We have no access to your data. Your transfer is conducted safely in coded form. You may presently make payments with PayPal in the following currencies: US dollars, euros, pound sterling, Canadian dollars und yen. Further currencies are to be added in the future.
^*2 With the PayPal Online Payment Service we use, you can also conveniently pay by credit card.

^*3 C.O.D. shipments are always possible within Germany. Since we deliver Thangkas outside Germany primarily by an internationally established courier service, C.O.D. payment can also alwaysbe arranged in such cases. ^*4 If you should wish to make your payment conventionally by means of direct bank transfer (without involving PayPal), we will gladly provide you, on request, with our bank connection, and in the case of international transfers, also with the SWIFT-Code and IBAN-No.


Of course, you have the right to withdraw your order within 14 days of placing it, or to return a Thangka in accordance with the respective legal provisions if you are not completely satisfied. In this case, please return the scroll painting carefully wrapped and with adequate postage to our address.


The Thangkas are delivered to you rolled up in scroll form in a protective mailing tube either from Germany or directly from Kathmandu by post or by courier service. Please inquire about shipping fees for international delivery.


It is our policy to present our Thangkas without the traditional brocade frame, as many Thangka lovers prefer their Thangkas without such a frame. Should you desire a silk brocade frame for your Thangka, this is no problem. We will have it tailor made for your thangka according to the fabric sample of your choice (see Section M, in which you will find brocade samples) and will send it to you separately. As a matter of principle, for reasons of practicality, we do not ship Thangkas already equipped with sewn-on frames. With the separately delivered frame you will receive tried and true instructions for easily mounting it on the Thangka yourself, so that you can fasten the frame to the Thangka in only a few minutes' time.
